
In order to grow as a person, you need to learn all that you can. The key to success in personal growth is in learning as much as possible and knowing when to apply that knowledge.
Spend time with people who look at life the same way you do. They'll help you stay on track by being good role models for positive behavior, and you'll better balance any negative energy you get from people who aren't as supportive of your self-improvement goals.
Identify the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from succeeding. Most people don't know where to start. But, you can't fix the problem if you don't know what is wrong. When you take each area and take action to improve it, the path to a better future is much smoother.
Building a better you starts with building leadership tendencies. The key to being a leader is influence, according to most people. Take a good look at your journey toward leadership.
What experiences have changed the person you are, How have those events changed you, if at all, What personal qualities do you have that make you a good team player, Ask yourself these questions in order to see how you will be as a member of a team.
Pinpoint your personal values when you are crafting a personal development plan. If you go against your values, you are shooting yourself in the foot. Instead, spend your time and energy on areas in your life you wish to develop that also synchronize with your personal values. Consider each change a permanent improvement to your lifestyle.

Keep in mind the power of complimenting other people. If you treat other people with kindness, you will be more likely to treat yourself with kindness too.
Write a pep talk about yourself. On an index card or postcard, write down all the things that are good about you. Carry this list with you at all times, and take it out when you need to pick yourself up. Even better, you should videotape yourself, reading the list into a camera and watch this video often. Write down what the benefits of watching you speak about yourself.
Strive to make each day a bit better than the previous one. Aim for frequent and continuous improvement. Tell yourself that you will at least improve on one thing that day compared to how it was previously done.

Without taking care of yourself, you will be unable to care for others. No matter where you are in life, allow yourself time to recover and rejuvenate yourself.
In your personal development journey, there is one thing that you must do. You need to chose to actively participate in your life instead of being a spectator. Observing instead of doing causes you to appear dead to most of the world.
